Wal-Mart Files Bad Faith Lawsuit Against Insurance Companies Refusing to Pay for Tracy Morgan Wreck

The Tracy Morgan/Wal-Mart truck wreck continues to make news.  Wal-Mart is now involved in a dispute with its insurance company for payment of the settlement money.  Wal-Mart paid Tracy Morgan a confidential settlement, resolving his claims against them when their semi-truck wrecked into the limousine Morgan was a passenger in.  Now, Wal-Mart claims they have not been compensated by their insurance companies for the settlement.  Wal-Mart filed a lawsuit against several insurance companies claiming they have not paid their portion of the settlements made.  The suit alleges the insurance companies who haven’t paid have acted in bad faith when refusing to consent to the settlements and refusing to pay their portions of the settlement under the policies they sold to Wal-Mart.
