Ambulance Patient Dies after Head-on Crash
An ambulance carrying a patient was recently involved in a head-on collision with a car in Pasadena, California. The patient riding in the ambulance was a 79 year-old man who suffered an injury to the head and went into cardiac arrest. The man was taken to the hospital where he died shortly thereafter. While the cause of the accident is still being determined, it was noted that the man was being taken to the hospital for a non-emergency medical appointment. The ambulance did not have its lights or sirens on when the wreck happened.
